These days you can see the infrastructure in Nordhavn changing rapidly and new buildings shooting up. Are you curious to know what is happening? Then stop by the exhibition Himmel og hav! in the Århusgade Quarter to get an overview of the whole area and learn about CPH City & Port Development’s original ideas and visions for Nordhavn.

Himmel og hav! is free of charge and open to the public Thursday to Sunday.

The exhibition focuses on a number of interesting topics regarding the district of Nordhavn. Dive into the maritime history and characteristics of the area or learn about our work with sustainable urban development and our plans and future projects in Nordhavn. Old and new photography, architectural models and video interviews with local residents help illustrate the storyline.

Furthermore, Himmel og hav! helps you to keep up with local news and activities related to our work in Nordhavn. This way the exhibition is a unique space where not only local residents but everyone who is interested in the current and future projects in Nordhavn can get inspired and gather new knowledge.

Himmel og hav! is located on the ground floor of The Silo – an old, iconic silo, which today holds apartments and a restaurant on the two top floors with an amazing view overlooking Copenhagen and Oresund.

The Silo itself is a great example of how the original architecture in Nordhavn defines the new buildings and structures. The Silo is just one out of four preserved and completely modernised silos in the area that each help determine the vibe and visual expression.

After visiting Himmel og hav!, simply step outside and get a closer look at the many historic and new buildings, explore the tiny squares and visit Lüders, the one of a kind public playground/outdoor gym located 24 meters above ground. Of course, you can also just lean back on the boardwalk with a cup of coffee and observe the local life of residents and shopkeepers.
